Review on Ampper Rectangle Security Personal Monitors by Aravind Joshi

Quality rearview monitor

This is a higher quality product than I expected, but it didn't have the medium wide angle image I was hoping for. Pictured on the left is my original round mirror (very wide wide angle) and on the right is a rectangular amplifier unit (low wide angle). The ampere mirror is not flat, it has a slightly convex surface to give you a broader idea of what it is showing. I just wanted a little less wide angle than a round camera. Amper is built pretty well. Loosen the clamp on the mirror and carefully insert the gooseneck into the mirror mount. Put the collar on and it's ready to go. I really like the clamp because it's easy to use and move. My round mirror requires velcro with a sticky base to attach it to the monitor, which isn't ideal for me. The gooseneck is flexible and functional, so it was very easy for me to position the mirror. The mirror itself is excellent, much better than the chrome plastic round mirror. I don't know what the hair clips are for - I think to add some color and texture to the device(?). If you don't need a wider viewing angle this is a great item and you can actually use it as a mirror to make sure you don't have peppers or spinach on your teeth lol!

Pros
  • Safety mirror
Cons
  • Slightly dented
