Thicker metal than desired. I've tried spots in the case that don't work as well as the phone's built-in MagSafe. This means that my case only allows the magnet to hold slightly, so that it is not possible to use the magnet safe. Using this ring inside the case gives exactly the same results I expected but am still disappointed. Why? Due to the thickness of the metal, putting the case on is not very appealing from the outside. However, if it works outside of the case, it's good too. I can't just take my iPhone 12Pro off the charger, I need two hands to carefully remove it from the charger because the magnetic attraction is so strong. It looks good and works too well. But it's very uncomfortable to feel the ring scratching and catching things on the back of the phone. A MagSafe case would be better.
