Review on High-Quality Dryer Heating Element and Thermal Fuse Kit: Compatible with Maytag, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, and More by Eduardo Purewal

Inexpensive but effective repair

Some parts were used to repair my Maytag Bravos (MEDB800VQ0) when cold. My particular issue was the heating element and this kit fitted perfectly. I was also able to replace the thermostat and another element (I'm honestly not sure which one, but it matched the assembly surrounding the heating element). There was evidence of charring on the heating element and apparently that was the problem. Installation was easy enough after finding matching YouTube videos online of my dryer disassembly. I think the heating element broke while running the vented tube dryer for a couple of months. of two dryers connected together and sharing a single vent outside of my home. Despite the built-in backflow preventer, merging the two ventilation pipes does not seem to be effective. I had to fix things up quickly to get through the dead of winter, but I installed a second vent (which I highly recommend) as soon as I could access that part of my house from the outside. I suspect not soon, but I think only time will tell. Anyway, this kit helped me and saved me hundreds of dollars on maintenance or full replacement.
