I'm probably one of the most skeptical people I know and when CT became popular I just blamed it on another rehab. However, my chiropractor recently bandaged my arm for severe, excruciating tendonitis (I have a "diaper" stuck in my elbow โ seriously) and I was blown away at how quickly it helped relieve the pain. It's not like a magic bullet that cures instantly, but if I don't lift my CT arm, it hurts terribly. I have no rest pain with him. Of course, I still get tendinitis from overusing that area, but at least I get some relief. I've also just tried this on my knee, which I've always struggled with due to an injury over 10 years ago. Since I was 40 I have not been able to walk more than 1/2 mile without swelling and pain. I ran a mile the other day and never had an attack of pain while walking or any swelling afterwards. Yes it's expensive but it really works for me. I tried two other brands and even after rubbing alcohol on my hand they started to come off within a few hours. I can usually last 3 days with Kinesio Tex Gold. Haven't tried showering with it to see if it holds up, but I'm pretty happy with it, even if it doesn't hold up to water. And I love that it's beige which hides injuries better than other colors so I don't have to keep answering all the "what happened to your arm?" questions. Questions. This may not be helpful for every injury, but try it if you have a recurring tendon/muscle injury and see if it works for you. You may be as surprised as I am!
