I had mixed feelings about purchasing this particular part for my Mini 2 due to the mixed reviews on how to assemble and disassemble the chassis. Like everything about the Mini 2, it's plastic and lightweight. You can assume that this is not enough for your needs. Yes, I assure you. Aside from the very cool looking case of your Mini 2, you will find that the case is easy to install and remove. Yes, you need to know the force you are applying when attaching and removing a part. It's small, strong, but not indestructible. It fits perfectly, doesn't block any of the Mini 2's cooling vents and (as I said) looks fantastic. Be patient. Don't forget to squeeze the legs slightly to attach and remove easily.
