Great light! A simple inexpensive mod that looks great on any jeep without a spare tire cover. The item I originally received didn't work properly (some segments didn't light up) but the seller was great and was quick to provide me with a replacement that works great. When I bought it, there were two options: with and without. Plug and play wiring. Since this unit isn't technically DOT approved, I wanted to keep the factory third taillight and use it in conjunction with that one, not in its place, so I wouldn't have any issues if I passed state inspection. . Based on other people's feedback that the plug and play wiring will use this light ring in place of the factory third brake light, I went with the non-plug and play version and bought a weatherproof quick disconnect instead. which I soldered into the factory wiring so the ring could be easily detached without affecting anything else. It worked great!
