I bought this to help my son with his seasonal allergies. This is a very simple construction as far as air filters are concerned. Very similar to a vacuum bag. It sucks air in through the filter and exits the other side. And while some might disagree with its simplicity, its simple design means there aren't many things to break. It comes with a second spare filter which is always nice and the filter is easy to remove and replace. It might not be the best option with air filters, but it does the job. It helps quell dust and allergens in my son's room so I'm happy with that.
