30-Pack Pool Skimmer Socks By DOLOPL: Keep Your Pool Clean & Clear! Review

I have only used this product for about a week. It does an excellent job at capturing the tiniest leaves and such. I have 2 skimmer baskets ( 1 is a spare) with these socks installed. I rotate them daily. Use one in the pool while other is drying. Debris shakes out easier when dry.

The filter pump skimmer sock worked great. Very glad I got these to keep my pool water clean. I rinsed them out used one almost 2 months in the pump filter basket. Saved flushing the DE filter when the small particles would have clogged the filter. In the past I used an old pair of pantie hose to do the same.

I have used this product all summer and it has performed well. Catches bugs, grass, leaves and the general creepy-crawlies that land in the pool. Even catches the occasional mice and turtles and keeps all those items out of the pump filter.

This works so well. It picks up the tiniest bugs that would’ve gone thru the regular skimmer. I haven’t seen it pickup any pollen yet, but I’m confident it will. I do see the surface of my pool much cleaner than before purchasing this.

These socks are great. They save me countless hours cleaning filters of debris that would otherwise shoot right past a skimmer basket. Much easier to clean these socks than the filters. I highly recommend them. Be careful, I have purchased and used other socks from different manufactures and they have not held up as long. these have done well. I recommend them and will purchase them again.

Update 07/2019: Finally needed more since I replace both, once a week, in less than 5 minutes. Everything from my original note still holds true.Original These socks are as good or better than the ones I can buy at my local pool supply store , where 5 socks cost $12. I used to hose off the old socks due to their cost, but I just may toss these after a single use. This is a good quality product. It is a basic sock for the pool skimmer. It is a quality similar to others that I have purchased. The pack of 30 should last me more than one season, and for the price is was a good purchase. Assuming nothing changes I will probably purchase these again when I need more.

I like this skimmer sock work`s great keeping the grass out of my hair basket and the filter canister when the lawn is cut. Just make sure to remove it before the motor stops because it will flush it back to the water.

Skimmer Socks provide for a cleaner pool and saves time and money in cleaning/replacing pool filters. I've used them for two years and have reduced the time and effort needed in cleaning four cartridge style filters by half.

I just received these socks and can't tell how sturdy they will be. They were very easy to install (just pull them over your skimmer) and it looks like it is filtering a lot of bugs.

They are easily rinsed and reused. I increased my rating for 4 to 5 because after using one pack for 1 year they are a good value. I have not had to backwash the pool filter as often. They remove pollen, dirt and much debris that fall from the trees around the pool. The trees require that we use more chlorine to prevent algae (from the high organic and phosphates from debris), and these socks did not tear frequently.

These are a great idea, but have a flaw. We have an Intek pool with the attachable skimmer basket. These socks, when applied to the basket, tend to encourage the debris to flow over the top of the basket and directly into the filter. If they are placed directly on the skimmer float, they suck to the filter intake and reduce the flow substantially. It's a great idea but so far I can't find a way to make them practical

Have to buy a basket without the center post, but well worth it for our needs as we have our dog in the pool most days. It has not only eliminated virtually all the hair, but also all the other small surface debris (tree/bush and bugs) that doesn’t get caught when using the hand held pole net.

If you have lots of leaves or bugs and are tired of cleaning your pump basket then these are a must have.They hold up well and are easy to clean.

I don’t know what I would do without these skimmer socks! I have a sand filter for my pool and I am trying to extend its life. These easy to use filter socks catch all of the little things that would normally get caught in the sand. Now when I backwash my filter I am so pleased with how quickly the water is clear and my pool looks great. One word of warning - please make sure you are checking your baskets more often because the fine particles will build up and cause a water flow issue.

These skimmer socks are doing exactly what we needed to keep the fine sand, bugs, etc., out of the water. While our skimmer basket caught "big" things, all the fine things because of the size of the holes in the skimmer basket were simply returning back into the water. No more, problem solved. These are easy to put on! We are happy with them.

These skimmer socks stop everything from going into my filter and I love love them. It stops the smallest dirt and bugs from going into my filter. They the best and you can clean them and reuse them if you like.

The skimmer socks are a must for any backyard pool owner! If you want clean filter cartridges each time you clean them, (4 month intervals) , you must use them. I clean the skimmer socks about every third day and you would be surprised how much small insects and debris are in them. I have 4 skimmers and 31, 000 gallons. The socks i got on ebay are about .50 each. They are 3.00 each in the pool store. They will last 6 weeks each.
