Review on 📺 TiVo BOLT with VOX Remote by Trey Ali

I just want to officially tell you (and TiVo) that I HATE the new interface with VOX support. If you buy this new voice remote, you MUST update the TiVo interface. Otherwise no voice features, you just have a new remote control with slightly remapped buttons. At the moment new remote users need to request a UI "upgrade" and it will be downloaded/installed within a few days. As far as I know there are NO UPDATES in THIS other than getting a language feature. I suspect TiVo will let all users know about this by the summer, but they haven't announced any such intentions. But I'm pretty sure they won't support two different interfaces on the same hardware. They only work on the bugs. In my humble opinion, here's what I think of this "UPDATE".1. He feels slower. 2. More clicks are required to perform certain actions without saving when performing functions. No net profit.3. The screen is TERRIBLE. While sentences that scroll down (instead of up) might look better in a movie, the text lists are just plain, numbered, black and white lists with LOTS of plain black screens or faded video footage from the show in the background. Still looks mostly plain black.4. Scrolling through lists seems slower.5. I'm using a Logitech Harmony remote. I haven't checked if you have a new profile for TiVo, but the existing default button mapping has now disabled some features that used to work. You need to upload something new to Logitech. This forces me to waste clicks on already dead buttons due to TiVo button mapping changes. You need multiple VOX/non-VOX TiVo profiles. From my point of view, I can't think of a single PLUS with the new interface. If I had a choice, I would go back and give up VOX. I know I can't, but I think TiVo has work to do. My wife LOVES our TiVo and after testing the Xfinity X1 for a month before we invested in a new Bolt last fall she has to make TiVo storage conditions clear to me. Been with you since version 1. Now with the new interface, she wants to look at X1 again, she's so unhappy.
