Review on Discover the Unbeatable Comfort of Calabria R314 Vintage Professor Oval Reading Glasses - Incredibly Lightweight! by Eric Castillo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I like the look but there are a few design flaws

I find the size and shape of these lenses and the positioning of the comfortable nose bridge ideal for extended wear. They are easy to position so they don't interfere with my distance vision but are fully legible. So why three? Two issues that aren't significant enough for me to return, but significant enough that I wouldn't order a second pair. The first problem is the width. I'm a woman with an average head size and my arms seem tense. The good thing is that I'm comfortable wearing the frame halfway up my nose because the temples are too narrow to miss when I want to wear them closer to my eyes. To be honest, I can picture these frames on a broader face, including most male faces. The second issue is that on one of the arms, the metal detailing (which I believe was added for style reasons) is rough cut inside and out. I found out about this because I noticed the insides scratching my cheek. I then checked both parts on this arm and noticed that the edges were jagged. I filed the edges with emergency cardboard and added a few dabs of clear nail polish to cover some more of the edge. It worked well enough, but it shouldn't have been necessary considering those parts on the other frame arm are plain for both sizes. If I had to make another purchase I would go for a style that doesn't have those metallic embellishments so I don't risk rough edges. (Also, these embellishments increase the width of my arm where I feel the most pressure on my face.) So I'm going to wear these glasses because I like the way they look (much better than the stereotypical half-lens librarian look). ). ) and easy switching between short and long-haul needs. However, these two issues would put me off ordering another pair.
