Review on 🎢 HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Vacuum Tube Amplifier: 160W x 2 Digital Stereo Audio Amp with APTX-HD by John Wells

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A fun device that makes me listen to music all day

This small hybrid tube integrated amplifier is the heart and soul of my desktop system at work. It has more than enough power to drive a 6.5-inch passive subwoofer and a pair of compact speakers (I used both a Definitive Technology ProMonitor 400 and a Canton CD1020) to whatever volume I might need with great clarity . There's a built in USB DAC, Blue Tooth and a standard RCA input. Build quality is good, connections are good quality and the cute little clips for attaching it - it gets pretty cramped when it comes to all the inputs on the back connected. but nothing that creative cable management wouldn't solve. The connector pins are small and hollow, so running bare wire through the pins can be a problem. The tone controls are transparent and subtle and can provide a nice boost or cut as needed. Sound quality is very good on all inputs - crisp and clean, with a hint of tube sheen (I don't feel the need to change the tubes that come with them). Voice and instruments have a good body and a natural timbre, lots of drive and a bit of lamp magic. In general, I don't know what kind of ore someone might ask for. A fun machine that keeps me listening to music all day long!

Pros
  • HiFi Pure and Charming Sound: Using a 6K4 vacuum tube to filter digital sounds, soften the sound, making it warm and delicate, full and mellow . And 6K4 can be directly replaced with 6J1/6J4/GE5654/6AK5/6*1n to enjoy HiFi sound in different styles.
Cons
  • AC outlet required
