Not the best option for thick curly hair

I have thick curly hair, curls start right at the head. I've been straightening my hair with flat irons for years, but recently I've tried a few straightening brushes and combs. This brush has several nice features. First, it's flat-brush size, so it can grab and hold more hairs better than small ones. Also, the power/control switch is easy to use and is on the handle but in such a position that I don't accidentally press it while using the device. True, it's quite difficult, and if you have a lot of hair like me, you might find that your hand and arm get a little tired before you finish the hairstyle. For my hair type, I haven't had much success straightening my hair. My hair is difficult to straighten, it usually takes several passes with a flat iron to straighten it. This brush didn't do the job. However, I found it handy for touch-ups. I straightened my hair and then went outside where it was raining and muggy so my hair was tousled and frizzy. I've managed to tame it pretty well with this brush. I've also noticed that while I like the large brush head for some things, its size makes it almost impossible to get close enough to my head to get at the curls. Overall I think this is the perfect device for those who don't have very curly hair and just want to tame it a bit. For those with thick curly hair, it probably won't work as the only tool in your arsenal.
