Having previously bought a budget/beginner/portable sewing machine, I decided to take a chance and order another one. Although this one is bigger than my first one, the quality is lame. I find the build quality to be a bit cheaper than my other, maybe more plastic parts, not sure. However, the weight really helps it sit still and not move like my previous car. This is a common problem with small, lightweight, portable sewing machines as they have little to help them stay in place. It definitely stays in place. I am MOST disappointed with the sewing quality it offers. This car is really bad. The machine threads very easily, but the end product has loose stitches and looks really bad. It might have something to do with the fact that it's set to ONE setting and that happens to be the fastest setting. I can't disable this and make it run slower. The sales function doesn't slow him down either, it's all or nothing. This is unfortunate as the sole purpose of this machine is to improve your sewing skills and hopefully see if buying a more expensive machine is worth it. In that case, I believe you can definitely find a better option. However, on a budget this is a great option and my car may just be imperfect.
