Stretchy material takes time to work. Use it at least 20 times before it stops squeezing your finger. The "latch" style makes it very inconvenient to carry the phone in your pocket, but it makes it very easy to take the phone in and out even with a protective case. The grip is a little tight but allows you to hold the phone with one finger, while the socket shape is more comfortable but requires two fingers.
