Good tool for elementary school
We start the day of homeschooling with a first grader and a preschooler customizing this chalkboard with today's date, day, weather and season. Then I give each child a clock activity: read the time I have set, or set it to the time given, or look at the digital clock on the stove and set the blackboard to the same time. I didn't try to hang them on the wall. - we just keep it on the bookshelf with school books. I don't think the wood markers would stay in place if snagged, although I think the tension could be adjusted a bit.
