Not waterproof

They're great but not waterproof. My feet always got wet when there was snow on the ground, even if I was just walking around town on the sidewalk. Silicone treatment didn't help at all. I think they are leaking at the seams at the top. Otherwise they are great but I really wanted the boots to stay dry. UPDATE: After 5 months of frequent use they are gone. A few seams burst open, get wet and stay that way even with light dirt. That wouldn't be a problem if they didn't take forever to dry. In the winter I enjoyed them for a few months in thick wool socks. Although my feet got a bit wet in the snow, they stayed warm and very comfortable. I'm sure they won't come with broken seams and leaking gortex now. The grip on them is phenomenal and they are light with loads of support. Too bad they don't resist water better and/or dry faster.

Cons
