My vet explained to me that Purina has years of research behind their dog food. Yes, there are designer dog foods that can be beneficial for a healthy dog as well. But I've gone through periods where certain human vitamin supplements have been advertised as good for health. And I've spent a lot of money hoping to benefit my health.
