We've made many changes to our home since running out of stuff to find an eco-friendly replacement. When we were offered these reusable bags for free in exchange for our honest, unbiased review, we were thrilled! We love it! - You get decent size variation (2 gallon size, 6 sandwich bag size, 5 snack sizes) so you can store a lot of things at once without having to buy multiple sets. - They are sealed! Husband had to check out of curiosity. He filled them with water, sealed them, turned them upside down, shook them vigorously and even squeezed them a little and nothing came out! - The shutters are not only durable but also very easy to use. They line up perfectly and you just push. They don't just open up (which we think is a good thing), they need to be pulled properly. However, our little ones can still open and close them easily, which is a huge win for us as they start school this fall. We've used them in the freezer and then kept them great. We haven't kept them in the freezer for months or for long periods of time. But we froze some of what was left, and I froze the spinach that I put in my smoothies every morning. So every day I open the package and the seal stays in place and the food is still fresh. - They seem a little when you get them and at first I thought that means they are of lower quality than the other sets we have. However, they still appear to be suitable for everyday use and the thinner material actually seems to allow them to stretch more like a traditional bag than some of the thicker ones. Disadvantages: none yet! We'll update as we see anything emerge over time.
