Bought only based on very positive feedback from others. The shots didn't look as polished or impressive as some other cage/rig DSLRs, but the reviews still convinced me to buy it. Very glad I did. Super durable construction. Very functional and well thought out with access to the battery compartment on cameras such as Canon and in my case Panasonic GH2. The offset base offers the full functionality of the fold-out LCD display. Numerous cold shoe mounts and 1/4" mounts make this knife a Swiss army knife for cage and drilling equipment. After using it for the first time on a shoot, I can't say anything negative about the design and function. Have it together with an Alzo- Bought shock mounts Mount for my Tascam DR-40 recorder and Audio Technica AT897 spring mic It holds all the gear firmly in place making it easy to stabilize the frame and control the camera There is still room for my LED flashlight and an external monitor Finally it easily attaches to my Davis & Sanford V12 Head I thought the handlebar style grips looked a bit cheesy in the Revain photos but personally the whole setup is all about functionality and professional use. So happy to have received this. I think I have a very small complaint. It would be nice if the aluminum painted black was anodized alum inium would be. It looks like it's just painted, which is less expensive and less durable in terms of paintwork. Otherwise this thing is cool!
