Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ Bubula Steel Diaper Pail in Light Pink: The Perfect Solution for Odor-Free Diaper Disposal. by Tomas Webb

Revainrating 2 out of 5

What's good: - We used a regular trash can with it.

Update one year later: Lid broke again shortly after this review. I managed to glue it together with super glue and it held up for a few more weeks before my husband broke it again. The superglue solution honestly felt solid, and the original lid intact, which tells you something about how it looks out of the box. Glued again, and he broke again. I taped it back up and the baby stepped on the bucket with his changing basket and smashed it again. Glued once again, a friend broke. Now it broke about 8 months ago. Without a lid, it hardly keeps odors, but what can we do? We paid a lot for this bucket and this is our last baby. I hope she gets potty trained early. A couple of times the sliding part of the lid also broke and didn't close completely when opened. I unscrewed the base plate on the lid and found it was an easy fix. One more note: I bought this bucket because I wanted a stainless steel bucket to reduce odors. Unfortunately, the foam around the edge of the lid and the foam inside the lid (you have to unscrew it to see the foam) absorb odors. Believe it or not, that was my biggest disappointment with this bucket. If I wanted a smelly kid's room, I would grab a $20 plastic trash can like I did with my previous kid. I spent so much money thinking it would stay clean and I could sell it to the locals in a few years. Now it's broken beyond repair And does it smell? Pooh. I am changing my rating from 4 to 2 stars. The good ones: - We used a regular trash can with our first baby and this time I decided to use a diaper pail to keep the smell out. This diaper pail does a great job of keeping odor at bay and if it persists I think it will continue to do so as the vital parts are made of steel and do not absorb odors over time. I like the little compartment that I put the diaper in first, close the lid and then drop it in the pocket. I love that the design allows me to quickly pull out the garbage bag when it's time to change the garbage bag. Tighten the bag's drawstrings and close before the smell of dirty diapers fills the room in 5-6 days.- I love that I can use our regular bin liners and save some money in the long run, that is , if this bucket lasts so long - A few days after we received the bucket, the lid broke. I emailed the company and got an immediate response from the company president offering to send me a replacement cap. The lid arrived within a few days. Excellent customer service. The Bad: - The small lid over the diaper area is a bit difficult to close. If you look at the 1 star video rating it is very similar to this one. I have to push the lid down and in to close it. I suspect that the video reviewer could slightly close his eyelids if he gently pressed them inward. Annoying, but easy to understand. For the money I would expect it to close with a finger press. Our first lid was a little harder to close than the new lid and my husband broke it in the middle of the night while changing diapers. . I don't quite understand what happened, but it looks like the lid was difficult to close. When we got the new lid, I gave him a lesson on how to *gently* push the lid to close it. The plastic is flimsy, if you slam it it will break. If someone who is going to use your diaper pail can't be gentle with things, maybe this pail isn't best for them. Or they can do what my husband is doing now and leave the lid open until the smell alerts you to the problem and you come over and close it for them. This loses a star because a sleep-deprived parent can't easily break a bucket for $90.

Pros
  • Unique design easily converts into a regular trash can for long term use in any room
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
