Update one year later: Lid broke again shortly after this review. I managed to glue it together with super glue and it held up for a few more weeks before my husband broke it again. The superglue solution honestly felt solid, and the original lid intact, which tells you something about how it looks out of the box. Glued again, and he broke again.
