Review on πŸ”Œ Questech Single Decorative Wall Plate, Screwless Switch Plate with Hidden Screws, Outlet Cover, Brushed Nickel Finish by Inyong Dow

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor materials and design make this beautiful wall panel almost useless

It seems the designer of this wall panel has no idea about things like tolerances or material properties. If your three sockets or switches are not EXACTLY the same distance apart, this plate will not fit over them. After getting the spacing between each outlet as close as possible, I still had to file the inside of two of the three holes in the wall plate to match. There is a metal plate that is very easy to insert. The problem is the magnetic pad. The pad is made of cast resin that deforms as it hardens. Two built-in magnets (in opposite corners) attach it to the metal baseplate. Only one magnet can touch because the plate is curved in such a way that it does not allow contact with another magnet. If you plug something into one of the sockets and accidentally press the crooked side that isn't making contact, the entire panel could fall off. In addition, the resin is brittle. The first one I received was broken into several pieces, although it appeared to be packaged fairly well.
