The ability to manage multiple projects from one screen is very useful. I like how it's easy to customize for each client/project we are working on. There aren't many features that have been added since I started using this product years ago - so if those features were important in your decision process as well then there would probably not be any downsides at all! If you want an easy system with few bells and whistles but still need a robust tool for managing clients and projects please go ahead and give PPO a try. We've used several different tools over the years, including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Asana, Dropbox, etc. It has allowed us to quickly create workflows between our team members when necessary, provide a single source of truth about what's happening across the organization, and keep track of the status of various tasks.
