I bought them specifically for going to kindergarten soon and I really like them. I made him practice opening them and he had no problems. I did extensive research before purchasing any of his packed lunches as I was concerned they would leak into his lunch box or be impossible to open without adult help. I also bought these because of the silicone caps instead of many other brands. I prefer silicone to plastic and it's hard to find an alternative. I hope they offer 3 or 4 packs of the smallest size but I basically bought the whole set for the little one to season. In any case, I found other sizes perfect for fruit and have even placed raw vegetables in the largest size with a small one in the middle with a ranch in it. It worked very well. I try to minimize the bins I have to send with him, but I'm relieved that when the teacher isn't around, he can open and close the bins and not worry about his lunch falling on the floor . It is incredibly difficult to find a healthy alternative that children can easily use, so please NEVER get rid of this product. We're on a tight budget, but I justified the price with the number of reuses, the endless uses for the containers alongside food, and the fact that they're so much healthier. Please consider my suggestion for small containers as soon as possible. I want to expand our collection. By the way, they've been in my basket more times than I can count on my fingers, maybe two, and finally bought them. I regret not having done so sooner.
