Review on πŸ”Œ Wagan 12V Automotive Socket Splitter and Extender, 4-Way Cigarette Power Splitter with Enhanced SEO by Lance Alvarez

Too cheap for everyday use

Worked well to a point - a few months. When plugged in, the plugs of various accessories had a tendency to pop out of the Wagan outlets: the outlets didn't hold the plugs tight enough. Bearable but frustrating as my camera or charger stopped working, but I didn't realize it until later. In the end, the Wagan's main input connector failed catastrophically. The tip of the connector is held in place by a screw connector and is spring loaded. This screw loosened up over time, I didn't notice, and when I pulled it out, the tip, spring and screw remained in the van's vertically installed bushing. The next time it was switched on (in the dark of morning), without the tip and screw still in the socket, sparks flew. It is almost impossible to get to the fuse box with the service vehicle. Grrr. Now I'm looking for a new extension cord and it won't be a Wagan.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
