Not a bad tablet, but not great either. This works in GIMP but without print settings.

*EDIT* So it's been a few years. I liked this tablet when I first got it. As with anything, there was a bit of a learning curve, but I figured it out and made it in no time. As previously mentioned, I have never had pressure sensitivity. I just learned to work without her. But the real problem with this tablet is the drivers. The first year or so wasn't much of a problem. Everything worked without any problems. I had to restart my computer or recalibrate the pen from time to time to get everything working properly (except pressure sensitivity). But then it got to the point where I had to go into the "Services" folder and manually force the drivers to stay enabled. And then my computer got to the point where it didn't recognize the tablet at all. I've reinstalled the drivers, tried all the released driver sets from intro to the current one (about 3 sets in total) and even looked for alternative drivers that can be used with this tablet. Nothing. The manufacturer does not respond to emails or messages on its site. You just take the money and run away. I wish the customer service at this company could be much better. The tablet itself is great when it works. As a smaller secondary screen, this is fantastic. But I need it for work and can't justify buying another tablet if this one doesn't already work. you try something else Longevity just isn't going to happen until someone develops some 3rd party drivers to get this thing working as intended. I bought this tablet after being scammed by a supposed professional artist who didn't deliver. I looked at different brands, models and price ranges and settled on this one for a number of reasons. But most importantly, it was one of the few that said it was GIMP compatible. Now that I've received the tablet and used it on a number of projects, I'm happy to report that it makes digital art a lot easier. I never realized how limiting using a mouse was until I picked up a pen. So far it's done almost everything I needed, although there were a few minor issues. Firstly, after installing the drivers, connection problems occur from time to time. I notice that especially when I travel. The tablet won't connect unless I completely restart my laptop. The next problem is that the print settings don't work with GIMP. I've done quite a bit of research, and from what I've found, they work with every other major paint program, but for some reason they don't work with GIMP. (I want to clarify that the tablet itself uses and recognizes pressure settings, but it doesn't have a settings function that lets you tweak individual programs like some other tablets do.) It does most of what I need, with one exception Print in GIMP. Also, the screen is a bit small for my taste, but I'm sure most people will like it. Actual size is about 3 inches smaller than a sheet of laptop paper, which makes the detailing a bit odd if you're used to working with large sizes. But the screen resolution is amazing. If for some reason you need to use a drawing tablet, this one will eventually get the job done. Although I would recommend looking around to see what works best for you. This one caught my eye, and while I wish it were a little bigger and had full functionality with my drawing program of choice, I'm happy with it. Oh, and sometimes I have to recalibrate the pen because it's not centered. sometimes.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • It's not as good as it says it is
