Review on MCover Lenovo Ideapad Compatible Computers Laptop Accessories by Randy Butler

Good case for the price but a bit slippery!

I was looking for something that would protect my laptop in its usual place (in this case a drawer to put things on). It does the job at a reasonable price and protects all the details - and I like the black as it complements the standard dark gray well (the 'black' is actually a very dark/smoky gray as it shows through a bit). Once installed (it just snaps into place) the cover allows access to all ports and even the fan intakes, which is important to avoid overheating. On the other hand, it's a bit slippery - not so much that you'd drop the laptop, but (because it only has feet at the front) it now slides a bit on smooth surfaces like tabletops, which isn't exactly ideal. Easy to attach to rubber feet with a stick, but flips the star. Also, you can probably figure it out for the price, but it's not the world's thickest material, so don't know how it will hold up to actual handling - it works great for my use case of preventing scratches, but probably won't help falls or other impacts. Finally for anyone saying it doesn't fit - it does fit but only for certain laptops as the title says. My Flex 4 1480 fits perfectly, but the Flex 5 or other 4 modes may not fit (there are MANY models in the Flex range, even within each generation, so check yours carefully to make sure it fits).

  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Almost never
