I bought 4 of these to use in my FreeNAS setup. I figured I had the patience to find some cost savings with the understanding that these discs were most likely refurbished or stock discs from a reputable manufacturer. The 3 discs arrived ok and burned successfully. None of the discs stopped working at 2am The 4th drive was not visible to the motherboard and I found it to be DOA. I returned it and ordered a new one. The second disk arrived and could be seen on my system but could not handle the short or long SMART test. I installed it on a windows machine and it refused to turn on. This time I contacted the seller directly and explained that once my RMA tracking hit their system, they had already sent out an RMA label and a new disc with tracking number within an hour and explained that they had received the disc would test beforehand. The third hard drive finally arrived, installed on my system and successfully tested for both short blocks, long blocks and bad blocks. Aside from the fact that one or more discs were a bit noisy when burned, with a bit of patience and understanding that the chance of an RMA is high, you'll be rewarded with some savings. Customer service is quick and understanding. Despite the low price, they should be profitable enough to afford the RMA shipping costs. Also, these are not 5400 RPM drives, they are 7200 RPM drives. Nothing to worry about. Minimal increase in performance, but nothing to complain about.
