How could such a bad product be made?

Bought on recommendation. However, the hard drive died after a month! I had to replace it with an old Toshiba of the same volume, but which has been plowing for 5 years without any complaints. Not too disappointed, but very surprised.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Using a hard drive in a gaming laptop from MSI. Six months - the flight is normal. The speed of accessing and copying many small files (photos) pleases. Different pros: Fast and reliable HDD from Seagate. The "Barracuda Pro" series is currently the leader in performance among all 2.5" hard drives (7200 rpm, 128 MB cache, read-write speed up to 180 MB/s). Great option for upgrading a laptop or game console. By level noise differs little from 5400 rpm counterparts. 5 year manufacturer's warranty.

Just a terrible product, very upset.

Shipping packaging is non-existent. Just polyethylene. No protection for a device that is afraid of falling and may fail. Left a complaint no one answered

There was an idea to change the disk in the laptop to a faster and more capacious one. Changed, it became faster and more space. :) Some pros: Fast, thin, light, consumes little and heats up little. The previous 500 gig Seagate was noisy and warmed up more, and the speed was one and a half to two times lower. Some cons: All right, let's see how tenacious he is. Visually and to the touch it seems very flimsy and weightless.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

Not bad, but I was expecting faster read and write speeds for sequential files (172MB/s). Reading and writing random files (1.68MB/s). A large cache helps at the beginning of copying a large file, it instantly copies about 1.5-2GB, the rest is as normal speed, Windows loads for a very long time (compared to SSD). As a second disc, good for everything =)

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

Some pros: Speed, reliability, low noise, despite the 7200 rpm of the spindle. The five-year warranty inspires confidence. Different cons: Everything suits me. I don't see any disadvantages. I would like the same, but 2 TB. It's a pity, while the Barracuda Pro 2.5" Terrabyte is the top model in the series.

The first one is from the factory on a Lenovo laptop, it has been working for 2 years without any complaints. The second hard drive was also bought for a laptop from Lenovo, where by default there was no HDD, only SSD, it has been working for a whole year and no errors.

    Pros
    • Quiet, nimble, long-lived / reliable, capacious
    Cons
    • Not detected

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Some pros: Price 3582. Speed. The amount of buffer memory is 128 MB. So far, all programs load noticeably faster. Then you will need to clean and defragment the HDD. Word 2022 15 seconds. 5 years warranty from the manufacturer. Cons: Sometimes the levers for moving the heads click, probably, but not often and not loudly. The CrystalDiskInfo test shows - Good. The buffer size of 128 MB on three programs could not be seen.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

Hope it lasts a long time. The manufacturer promises up to a million hours of operation. I've been using Seagate hard drives for a long time. Never failed. I recommend to purchase. Pros below: Very fast for 2.5" format. I took it to replace the standard HDD in SONY PlayStation 4. The results pleased me. The read-write speed is at ~180 Mb/s, which is just 50% faster than the bundled hard drive of the Samsung console (~120 Mb/s) With its cons. The noise level of this "Barracuda" is slightly…

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

Testing an unallocated disk showed slow sections, and the picture changed with different connections. Not fatal, of course, but given that this is a new (!) Product, it is somehow embarrassing. If, when inspecting a new car (in the cabin), you found 2 green scratches? what if 18? Test of. Seagate Mulka disk passed, it means "everything is fine" From the experience of two days of using a regular disk, the rest will show time The quality of modern storage media leaves much to be desired. If…

The worst purchase in my life, dont repeat my mistake

bundled with Alienware, was removed and used in removable media. a month later glued flippers. when connected, it makes rustling-grinding sounds, after it rustles, it stops the pancake, the heads park. the system writes that the disk is not initialized. all dust protection is a sticker on top (normal screws are covered with a full-fledged screwed cover with a seal around the perimeter)! want a normal screw? - you are not here and not in WD, where they sell the same trash: take HGST or Toshiba…

    Pros
    • thickness 7 mm.
    Cons
    • trash.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

I can't believe I paid for it, the quality is disgusting.

Don't take Seagates. I would not take this one either, it came bundled in a laptop. And if you took it, immediately check with Victoria or a similar program. The standard disk check from Windows says that everything is OK. The Seagate website says about the warranty: "This product was originally sold as part of the system. For warranty service, contact the system manufacturer or the place of purchase" So the warranty is not 60 months for this drive, but 12.

    Pros
    • Nothing
    Cons
    • Fell off after a year and a half of gentle use. However, what else to expect from Seagates, they are all defective and do not live more than a couple of years. Confirmed by friends who have used this company's hard drives over the years. I noticed by broken files downloaded from the network (the games in the incentive did not pass the hash check). The reading speed drops sharply in the second half of the disk, there is a possibility that the disk was immediately defective, and this became noticeable only when the place was a little clogged and the accesses went to a poorly readable area.

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

Excellent HDD and the only one of its kind, having a thickness of 7 mm at 7200 RPM. As for reliability, we will look, it has been plowing for 3 months almost without a break, everything is fine In the photo, the report on the sectors in the HDDScan program after the same 3 months - there are no red and broken ones. I use it for zagazhnik and work with all files downloaded from the Internet. As a laptop I use Dell vostro 5471, system ssd and hdd According to the first impressions, it seemed that

    Pros
    • Good for HDD speed, reading and slight noise
    Cons
    • Haven't revealed yet.

Return my money! Disgusting product and poor quality.

The first disk began to fail after almost 2 years of use - the system stopped booting. After restoring from a backup, the system could work for 1-2 days, maybe a week. SMART did not show any defects. Replaced under warranty. The new disc began to work the same miracles as the first one, without having worked even a year - only 11 months. Both disks were used in a stationary computer at home, it would seem - what do they lack for a long life? I will hand over, return the money and say goodbye to

    Pros
    • Claimed warranty period - 5 years, speed - up to 183 MB / s
    Cons
    • A 5-year warranty is cool . Just wondering - how many times in 5 years will you have to use it?
