Hope it lasts a long time. The manufacturer promises up to a million hours of operation. I've been using Seagate hard drives for a long time. Never failed. I recommend to purchase. Pros below: Very fast for 2.5" format. I took it to replace the standard HDD in SONY PlayStation 4. The results pleased me. The read-write speed is at ~180 Mb/s, which is just 50% faster than the bundled hard drive of the Samsung console (~120 Mb/s) With its cons. The noise level of this "Barracuda" is slightly higher than the usual 2.5" hard drives, because the spindle speed is 7200 rpm. When the console is running, the noise from the cooling system completely covers the sound background from the hard drive, so this is not critical.
