I bought my mother in her late 60s a new iPad for Mother's Day and didn't feel like she needed the expensive blue-toothed stylus that Apple and others claim you need . She used them to play her games, write on the tablet, and use it for pretty much everything. It slides right on the screen protector just like it did on the screen glass before we installed it. If you don't want $50+ Bluetooth pens then you're stupid not to get them. They need the vast majority of people. They also have 4 interchangeable tips and mesh tips and the case they come in is very handy.
