Works Great in So Cal OC

I works great in So Cal OC, haven't gone farther than that yet, but so far so good.Installation of the little threaded piece, that was separate, made me think it wasn't going to screw in good, but I screwed it into the antenna and then it screwed into the Truck just fine, and it has had no loss of signal, at all.Great product, for a great price as far as I am concerned.2018 Colorado ZR2

Pros
  • Dosen't bend with my truck cover, looks great, works perfectly .
Cons
  • May compromise the aesthetics of the car

Size matters! good for me

This stubby antenna was a replacement for my rubber OEM antenna that was deteriorating from sitting outside in the warm California sun. Also since I needed to haul some 4x8 plywood on the roof of my SUV, and needed an antenna that would not get in the way or get bent.Pros:1. Clean/sleek design.2. Super easy to install.Cons:1. More fuzzy/static from FM radio channels than before.2. Having to rescan radio now with more limited channels.I knew going into buying this stubby antenna that there was…

Pros
  • Easy to install. FM, AM, and XM reception is great.
Cons
  • May not match vehicle color

Good reception, GPS radio low profile

About two inches high enough to clear the garage door as describe by reviews. No reception loss GPS fine Sirius radio fine, and other services.

Pros
  • ✔ MADE IN USA: Each Stubby Jr is made here in the US of A. These mini antennas are machined and powder-coated in good ol' Portland, OR. Even the boxes are made here!
Cons
  • May not be as durable as the original antenna

Is ideal for me on my review.

The price is right and after driving all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over a week, I never missed a moment of reception. This is exactly what I wanted.

Pros
  • Easy install, no noticeable change in reception.
Cons
  • May not work as well as a longer antenna

Great product for my opinion

Easy to install. The stubby looks way better than the factory antana and it's about 7" smaller. Great product! Great price! And it's Made in U.S.A.

Pros
  • Not sure of reception, I listen to books mostly.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with poor radio reception

Loss of reception in my review

I live in a rural area. I noticed a great decline in the reception. Many of the stations in my area are 40+ miles away. This stubby looks good but I can't listen to channels from out of town.

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna is aerodynamically designed, reducing wind resistance and drag for better performance
Cons
  • May require additional modifications to properly fit

Do yourself a favor and get this BEFORE you damage you vehicle!

My vehicle came with an 8” long antenna and I ended up hitting it and breaking the base unit (the receiver that sits on the roof). After paying $$$ for a new receiver base and installation I bought this to prevent damage happening again. It works great and is so low that I don’t have to worry about it getting hit again. XM and FM and AM all work great with no complaints.

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna is available in a range of colors to match your car's exterior
Cons
  • May be too short for some drivers

Great reception and easy install

I couldn’t fit my new truck into my garage due to the stock 8” antenna on top. The stubby took maybe 12 seconds to install by unscrewing my factory antenna and replacing with it. Reception on the stereo is just as perfect as the stock antenna. Highly recommend for those that need a shorter antenna.

Pros
  • You won't have to worry about your car getting scratched or damaged by a long antenna
Cons
  • May not be seen as an essential upgrade

Great for auto covers

Works great, wish I would of picked one of these up when I purchased my 2016 Colorado. Due to a small garage my truck doesn't fit. Around my house is quite a few pine trees so due to it being fall I purchased a cover to keep debris and needles off it. Last weekend I was in a bit of a hurry and pulled too hard on the cover during installation, and I heard a crunch. I look up and see my antenna bent at a weird angle. I remembered seeing this antenna on Best Buy while looking for accessories…

Pros
  • fitment was spot on works great too
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand heavy winds

It’s exactly what you pay for

My original antenna got broken in half during a hurricane. The stubby one was a great solution for that never happening again. A few months after getting it, I got in a wreck and had to get a new car, but the stubby transferred to my new car super easily. A+

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna is compatible with a range of Chevy Traverse models
Cons
  • May not work with all weather conditions

There is some OTA FM signal loss ! be Aware

2022 Colorado. Topo, weather, etc can & does affect OTA signal. If you notice most newer vehicles OTA radio antennas have been relocated to center of the vehicle. This was for a reason.Removing the OEM antenna & replacing it with this stubby was easy, unscrew & screw.FM reception has been diminished by appx 20% by utilizing this stubby antenna in rural Washington.1 mid-range station became a French Canadian station, replace the stock antenna & it was a local station. If you're in a flatter, more

Pros
  • It's lightweight and won't add extra weight to your car, which can affect fuel efficiency
Cons
  • May not have enough rigidity to support a larger antenna

Don’t sell stubby, short.

This was a nice purchase to replace the original antenna that makes the Colorado look like a remote control truck. The stubby works well in town but does get a little static in rural driving. No matter as I don’t use the radio much anyways. Well worth the price.

Pros
  • Works as expected.
Cons
  • Too expensive for a small upgrade

My Little Stubby :)

At first, I didn’t think it was going to work for me as I am a baseball fan and the local station Is 90 miles away. But I was wrong, it picks up the station just fine (AM).For FM, I don’t care, I have satellite radio, which blows away any FM station close by.

Pros
  • You won't have to worry about it getting in the way when you park in tight spaces or garages
Cons
  • May not be suitable for older drivers

Good for roof racks

If you are planning on getting a roof rack or already have one, you should definitely pick this up. It is tiny so when you are loading and unloading your items from your roof rack you wont have to worry about snapping off your antenna. All your radio stations will still work fine, even your Sirius XM. Honestly I dont know why cars dont just come with this from the factory.

Pros
  • Great little antenna, better profile
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all aftermarket radio equipment

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Receives signals poorly

The Stubby was easy to install and is nice and short so my son's basketball won't break it again. Unfortunately, it does not receive radio stations as well as the longer antenna, even some of the Sirius stations get static.

Pros
  • Audio & Video Accessories
Cons
  • May require tape for installation

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Small, but Poor Reception

Really wanted to like this antenna, because of the low profile. Unfortunately radio reception was horrible. Had to return to stock.

Pros
  • Car & Vehicle Electronics
Cons
  • May require directions to properly install

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as expected in my review

I used this to replace the antenna included with a used 2016 Chevy Trax, resolving a garage door height issue. It was either get a shorter antenna or rebuild the garage, so I chose the easier route. The old one unscrewed, and the Stubby screwed right in. Since this was the expected behavior, and since the radio works with it, I am pleased.

Pros
  • It's small and compact, making it perfect for people who prefer a minimalist look for their cars
Cons
  • May not function well in areas with weak signals

Doesn't work well and has small pieces

This was for a 2017 Chevy colorado with roof racks. I have to remove my antenna for paddle boards and kayaks. Bought this so I can still listen to the radio while driving. Doesn't work. I still get no stations when I put it on and I live in a big town. Lastly, the threaded portion is not attached! It will unscrew and then fall into some pit of dispair. Used this once, when I went to dig it it out again the threaded lug was gone. WHy the heck don't they make that attached? I listen to my phone…

Pros
  • It's an affordable and effective way to upgrade your car's antenna
Cons
  • May require additional tools for installation

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super Short and Super Easy!

Removed the factory antenna from my 2020 Chevy Colorado and installed this short one in under a minute total. The size difference amazing! Not only did it look better, but I can use my truck rack either without worry of damaging anything.

Pros
  • It's ideal for people who live in areas with low radio signals, as it amplifies the signal for better coverage
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all radio frequencies

It doesn't fit as advertised on my 2004 Corvette.

They advertised to fit my C5 Corvette which is a 2004 Corvette. The part was completely wrong it doesn't fit there were no adapters in the kit to make it fit. I called the company and they said that their stubby doesn't fit on a motorized antenna. But yet it's not in their advertising.

Pros
  • Perfect for roof racks
Cons
  • Too short for large Chevy Traverse
