Easy to Replace, Not so great reception

I replaced this with the stock antenna due to it not fitting in the garage. Very easy to replace and love the size. For someone like me who lives in the city I didn't notice much difference. When I drove out to the country I did notice some loss of reception, which is to be expected. I don't listen to a lot of FM radio and live in the city, so not a big deal for me. I still keep the stock in the truck if I need to swap it out.

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna comes with a lifetime warranty, giving you peace of mind
Cons
  • May not work in hilly terrain

Chubby is Chubby in my review

When they call it small believe it, I just thought when they said it was small it meant it was small not 3” small but hey it works and at least it won’t get broken off when I take my truck through the car wash now like it did and that is the reason I had to buy a new antenna in the first place.

Pros
  • Looks sleek
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for long-term use

Works great - my new review

Works as well as the stock taller antenna. Big plus is less likely to get damaged going through car wash. Very satisfied. Works with FM and Sirius/XM stations. Absolutely no complaint.

Pros
  • It's designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, so you won't have to worry about it getting damaged in extreme temperatures
Cons
  • May not have the same quality as other antennas

Working fine on 2021 Chevy Colorado

I read all the reviews. I was skeptical cause of some of the bad reviews. Screwed it on easily and went for a long drive today with zero satellite radio or phone call issues. I don’t listen to FM or AM radio, cannot tell you if reception is lost at all for this. Now the truck fits in garage without hitting top door jam. Looks better as well. Will easily store original antenna if I’m ever in remote area and the stubby isn’t working good enough. I now can fit a ladder on my back rack without the…

Pros
  • Like the look and works just as good as OE part
Cons
  • May not hold up to extreme weather conditions

Works great with 22 colorado

No loss of quality compared to factory antenna, bought so that I could get truck in garage without hitting antenna on top. Came quick, seems great quality, American company.

Pros
  • ✔ IMPROVE THE LOOK OF YOUR CHEVY TRAVERSE: The Stubby Jr antenna replacement fits any Chevy Traverse (2008-2015). The Stubby Jr is designed to match the factory base perfectly so it looks as good as the stock antenna on your car
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who like to go off-roading

Allowed my truck to fit in the garage

Replaced my stock Chevy Colorado ZR2 antenna with this stubby. It reduced the overall height of the truck by a few inches. Enough to allow it to get into the garage without scraping or bending the stock antenna. I have seen no loss in FM performance with this unit installed. My stations come in as clear as with the stock antenna.

Pros
  • The CravenSpeed Stubby Jr Antenna offers superior compatibility with your Chevy Traverse
Cons
  • May not work in areas with limited cell reception

No problems at all.

Replaced my OEM antenna with the Stubby Jr. I'm really pleased with the reception and hear no difference. Great replacement!

Pros
  • A must have for lower ceiling garage. Have been buying for decades. Great look too.
Cons
  • May require additional installation hardware not included

Nice look. in my review

Looks great. It arrived in the stated amount of time. Easy to install. Lost some FM radio signal strength, nothing I can't get used to.

Pros
  • Reception suffers with this antenna
Cons
  • May be too difficult to install for nonexperts

Great upgrade for my opinion

Worth the money. It’s easy to unscrew the old one and out and replace it with this one. Looks better than the stock antenna

Pros
  • Works fine in city and suburbs. No signal interruption.
Cons
  • May increase wind resistance

Good antenna but you do sacrifice signal range/quality. Looks much better than stock. Not a bad buy if you're going for a better look.

Pros
  • The perfect fit and gives my truck a better sporty look and can still listen to my satellite radio!
Cons
  • May not improve radio frequency

Reception is the only problem

Installed on a 2017 equinox. fit perfect and was lower than my roof rack so car wash issues are no more. However reception is a problem, on my equinox the antenna is for am/fm, Bluetooth and GPS navigation, so this is an issue. gonna have to consider other options for reception issues

Pros
  • This little antenna works like a charm and was so simple to screw in!!
Cons
  • May require professional installation

Sleek and well made

Solid product, allowed for extra clearance for a tent. Does very slightly degrade reception, to be expected, but not a bit deal for me at least.

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna is easy to remove if you need to replace it or if you want to switch back to your old antenna
Cons
  • May not be able to be updated with new technology

Bought this 2" stubby antenna to replace the taller factory antenna on the roof of my 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The best thing about it, is that it looks great! The only minor thing that's affected my going down to a 2" antenna is slight loss of radio signal when far away from the station location. But it's not that bad at all. My morning commute, I used to hear my local station for pretty mcuh the 65 km drive that I have. But now, I start to loose signal around 50 kms into my commute. So the…

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna won't corrode or degrade over time, ensuring long-lasting performance
Cons
  • May not work with all phone providers

Would recommend in my review

Easy install. Item is exactly as described. Great purchase to get rid of oem antenna and not sacrifice any functionality

Pros
  • ✔ INSTALL IN SECONDS: You won't need any tools. The Stubby Jr is easy to install by hand in a matter of seconds
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand constant rain or moisture

The Stubby Jr. for me and my Equinox 2015

I received my Stubby 2 days ago. Nicely packaged but astonished to see only a small card in the package saying to visit CravenSpeed.com for instructions, Live support, email support. Reviews and feedback. On opening the Web Site I found no mention of the Stubby for a new 2015 Equinox. Seems a manufacturer of a product for sale on the Internet would make sure their Web Site is up to date. Since a new product there was no Reviews on file to read . I installed the Stubby this morning and very…

Pros
  • This antenna is made from high-quality materials that ensure durability and longevity
Cons
  • May not be able to be transferable to other Chevy models

Sturdy, small, bad reception

I like the design, it was easy to install, sturdy. However I do not get very good reception while driving. When parked I can find good reception, while moving it will go in and out. Get the bigger one.

Pros
  • The Stubby Jr Antenna is resistant to damage from flying debris or objects, such as tree branches or birds
Cons
  • May not provide a suitable replacement for the factory antenna

USE LOCK TIGHT! on my review.

Little advice for everyone, I just ordered my second one. My first one didn’t last me more than a couple weeks before someone took it. So lock it up lolLove it! Don’t listen to radio but this is completely for looks ONLY for me. Only problemI had was trying to install with his little the antenas threads are and it barely grabbing. But overall I’m stoked!

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • May not provide a suitable distance for radio channels

Great OEM Alternative

I installed this antenna because the 6 inch OEM antenna was too tall for me to get my Truck in my home garage and work underground parking. This solved that problem and I have had no issues with my radio, gps, or satellite radio

Pros
  • It is a great product, it gives me better reception and I barely notice the antenna now.
Cons
  • Not suitable for off-road use

Just what we needed!

Easy to install! Replaced a broken antenna with this product and now it’s no longer in the way of our rooftop carrier. That's my review!

Pros
  • Love the look of the stubby, way better than the 8-10 inch stock on that comes on the truck
Cons
  • May not support all radio channels

No longer hitting the garage door with antenna!

Installed on my 2020 Colorado CrewCab. Looks good, 30 seconds to install, and my radio still works. I suspect you might have more difficulties getting a signal if you get out in the sticks, but I haven't had any issues in the Saginaw Bay area.

Pros
  • Not the best reception but what can you expect from something so small.
Cons
  • May not offer better aesthetics
