Very coarse cotton balls and swabs
I only use them to remove makeup around my eyes. They are HARD, not soft at all, even in the water. I would not recommend using it as an ear swab, it would damage the eardrum. You are rough on the skin. It gets the job done, but I wouldn't have done it if I knew how tough and rough they are.
