My old 2000 4runner stereo light no longer works. It's difficult to use the stereo at night because I can't see the button or the radio station I'm tuning into. Thought it was time for an upgrade but didn't want to spend too much as it's a fairly old car. The only thing that got me interested in trying this is the mirror link feature. Our newest car rental has these features and my wife loves them. At first I was told to do the installation but my cousin told me it was pretty easy. As mentioned in other reviews, he recommended I buy a radio which cost me less than five dollars. It also made things less intimate. All I had to do was connect the wires from the wiring harness to the stereo cable and literally everything plugged in and worked. The only problem I had was figuring out how to connect the rear camera properly, but thanks to one of the reviews, here's how to connect it. The instructions could be clearer for that. I feel like the rear camera could have been better, but I didn't buy it for the rear camera. It's a nice extra, but I could do without it.
