I recently had an anal fissure. Using the squat pot just a few times has repeatedly brought me to tears. Using this product is not the same as doing a natural squat. In a natural squat, you shift your body weight to your feet and legs. When using the squatty potty, you sit on your butt, but this causes your anus to stretch uncomfortably. Too much pressure on the anus and it can feel like your anus will burst when you poop. I'm surprised there are so many positive reviews. I think it might work well for the perfectly sane people down there. I do not recommend this product for people who have previously had an anal fissure.
