Ideal for workstation servers, especially if you have limited USB ports and space to connect. A lot of USB connectors aren't flimsy, so trying to connect 2 connectors together, top and bottom, will either result in the connectors pushing each other apart on the motherboard, or you just can't use both connectors without a minimal or size of the "thin" USB extension cable. I tried one of the cheap USB audio dongles, which were thick and just didn't fit the USB keyboard or mouse connected to it. I really didn't want to use a USB hub just to make it work, or an extension cord. Found this while researching options and was glad it worked well for my situation.
