Revainrating 5 out of 5

UPDATE- 2 Years Later, Product Has Changed =( No Longer Works For Me

UPDATE January 2019: The product has changed and is not the same. Dropping my rating from 5 to 3 stars.Ironically, my skin is much better due to diet and other changes, but the new formula makes my face look worse. The original had a mild but pleasant scent. No scent with the new one so that's good for those we sensitivity. It's much drier and leaves my skin blotchy. Very difficult to get this new formula applied evenly. After a couple hours it's pooled into little specks and even areas that weren't dry now look flaky and awful. While the original formula seemed best for dry skin the new one seems best for very oily skin, in my opinion.Original review- First let me say I have terrible skin- combination with sebaceous filaments, occasional breakouts, and dark patches (melasma). No matter what product I use, my skin likes it for a week, then I start getting dry patches, peeling, etc. So I was cautious. I use heavy moisturizing underneath to prevent dry patches, and after using it for many months I haven't had problems. That has never happened with any other makeup I've used.If you have naturally oily skin you may not like this makeup. I found that after blotting it (a little goes a long way), I still needed to give a light dusting with powder. I use mineral powder just to remove the shine. My face stays nice all day, and that's a first- ever! If you use too much it will settle into lines and pores, so back off and just use the sponge without more makeup. It leaves a nice dewy finish, but it's too shiny for my skin to leave as is, hence the blotting and light dusting of powder. The color (#23) blends perfectly- my skin is naturally a light/ medium beige. No ring around the collar!I don't have issues with allergies, so I can't comment on that. The same with whether or not it's waterproof. I use my normal makeup remover to take it off at night. I also can't compare it with high end makeup, since the most expensive I've ever tried is Lancome. On rare occasions, when my skin is having hormonal tantrums, I will have some dry flakes or areas that look blotchy, like the makeup wasn't applied evenly. That is totally a personal issue, and a not a problem with the makeup. Usually makeup has me feeling self conscious- are there dry flakes, streaks, is it shiny, has it settled into the lines and cracks, do I look like bad at the end of the day? Not so with this. I can honestly say that this is the best makeup I've found for my skin.I'm 53 years old, and I've tried everything- mineral makeup, cheap stuff, and all the way up to Lancome- that's the most my budget would allow. This blows them all out of the water, in my opinion. It takes getting used to, but I am back to order two more of them. That's how much I love it.

This is my first purchase and I absolutely love how moist it is. it blends in very smooth the only problem i have with it is that it gets a little bit cakey.
