Very thick and strong. Also reflective.
Although I wanted them for easy rods I found them too heavy for that. But we found them handy for tying down our kayaks due to their strength. Or tie us to docks or piers. The carabiner is also big and strong. Heavy duty versus easy. (Of course you can't let the person hang on to it)
