Bought this for my dog so he doesn't lick his paws while a small cut heals. I can put lotion on a boil and she doesn't lick it off right away. She is a 20 lb Chiviny and size XL fits her. Maybe you could take a big one. The white cord makes the neck opening adjustable which is great. Overall very happy with it. Excellent for the price
