I recently went through thousands of 35mm slides my parents left behind to scan and digitize the best ones. It's a tedious process that becomes much easier with this viewer. Even though I have a good quality scanner, viewing slides this way is slow. It is just as inconvenient to load them all into a carousel and look at them with a projector. I needed something for quick and easy browsing, this fits perfectly. Thanks to the LED lamp, the images are very bright and the images are sufficiently enlarged even for my less than 20/20 vision. It's easy to use. Insert a slide and press the button to release it. If there are more than three slides in the output bin, the next slide may not always eject fully when the release button is pressed. This is a minor issue. Until it replaces a projector or scanner. It's ideal for determining which slides deserve further study. That was my need and that's exactly what I need. If you have a lot of slides to sort through, this is a valuable addition to your toolbox.
