Works well for long distance signal transmission.
I bought this to put in my dad's theater. We ran about 40 feet of cable and he wanted 4k so that was a must. This works fine, just pay attention to which is the sender and which is the receiver, otherwise you'll have to redo everything. Message about disconnecting the projector. Insert the DVD, go to the main menu, click play. Instead of "Sony Download" from a DVD player, you get the standard beamer screen and no signal message. However, it disappears the moment the movie starts playing, so who cares. I suspect this isn't unique to this product, it simply depends on how baluns work.
