The name says it all but while this ringer is larger than some on the market it is easy to install and as loud as I could have hoped. It's got that old-fashioned, multiple ringing "brrrrr-ingggg" sound that's activated by simply twisting the cog along the edge. I've noticed that if you overtighten the mounting ring, the acoustics of the bell suffer - this obviously doesn't allow the bell to vibrate as freely as possible. If the bell seems numb to you, simply loosen the mounting screw a turn or two. This worked for me. The price was right, just over $11.
