I love that this sweater fits my handsome boy so well. I didn't think he could ever look more dashing. We bought it for him in October 2019. Some sort of mass began to grow on his right cheek. We took him to take some samples and then brought him back for biopsy because the sample was not enough. The biopsy was unsuccessful so we were referred to a specialist. We've taken him to the vet twice, and then the clinic didn't answer calls for a long time. When they finally responded, they said the specialist didn't have a vacancy for another three weeks. The mass kept getting bigger, then one day, on the same day that was supposed to be my father's birthday, who had just died the same month I bought this sweater, he suddenly started bleeding uncontrollably from his mouth. We rushed to the emergency vet clinic, which turned out to be the same clinic that hadn't returned her calls in ages. They took him to emergency aid. We were told that the mass gnawed at the tissues in his neck and jaw. That's what caused the bleeding. That night they took x-rays and saw more than two dozen tumors lining his lungs. After two days we were finally able to take him home with us. He was still bleeding profusely from both the incision (the incision was made to get a piece of mass to send to the lab) and his mouth. He could no longer lift balls and sticks and simply refused to eat. It took the clinic maximum time to get back to us with their results. We paid $10,000 for his treatment and we had gofundme to help with radiation and chemo if possible. They said we could try and they gave us 3 months but most likely a lot less. The results showed the worst-case scenario, the worst form of cancer. We had no choice but to take the pain away from him. His health deteriorated drastically in just a few days that he spent at home. My sole purpose in this review is to show how well this sweater suits this handsome boy. The size chart and other reviews are among the most honest I've seen on Amazon. People used to say it was a sock monkey sweater when we went out and I always corrected them and said it was a "boyfriend sweater"! It was more commonly referred to as the Sock Monkey Sweater because I got it before Halloween, which made it fun, but made it his own. He was the friend of many people. He was my best friend. I write a review not only to express my honest opinion and full satisfaction with the product, but also to prevent it from appearing on my review homepage as a reminder to me. For him it was our favorite piece of clothing, the most fitting and flattering one for him. The washer and dryer work well too. His name was Jethro. He will always be in our hearts and we made sure he wore our favorite jumper.
