When I first got it, I was rather disappointed in how it looked vs the picture but it did the job. I wasn't using it for a full on cosplay or anything, I just needed it for a quick video. But it still looks cool! Color is pure black not gray and the lenses were very dark.You can't see out of it. I wouldn't advice this if you're going for a true cosplay though. But just as cool goggles it's still cool! I still wouldn't say it looks "Steampunk" though
