It was a bit difficult to put the mattress in (I have a full one) but the mattress fit me very well without the problems others had. I recommend taking your time when you're ready to ditch your mattress, whether you do it like I do or not. However, it doesn't remind me of a late 80's/early 90's mattress pad that made noise when I moved in bed. I will say that I bought this product because the seller provided incorrect information. It does not cover or protect the box spring that I have to protect from one of my kittens. I had to go back to Revain and order what I originally wanted because this mattress pad was definitely not on the list. If you're not in a hurry, you can definitely put a mattress topper on it and zip it up without any problems. The only reason I didn't send it back when I realized I had ordered was to protect my bed and hopefully get my allergies under control as the mattress and box spring are brand new. Also, I don't want spiders in my bed. Fits my mattress with no problems. It's also a nice material.
