I've seen mixed reviews so here's my take. The switch helps to set the knife alignment. Its setting will help get rid of the blocking problem. 2) For those who complain about uneven trimming, the adjustable bracket is designed to trim and fade beard. If you don't know how to use it properly, it will cut unevenly. Other guards are better matched to your haircut skill level. 3) Those who complain about the slow motor speed without seeing their device either have quality control issues or just don't understand how fast a cordless shaver should be. Mine is fine and no complaints. 4) Those who complain about the rapid charge loss may again have a quality control issue or just received a faulty device. Mine came preloaded and works perfectly. Edit: As you can see on them, the one with the white protrusion works with a silver adjustment switch. The other two must be the same. I'll contact the dealer tomorrow to see if they're getting it right. If not I will downgrade my rating to 3 stars due to poor quality control and don't want to fix it.
