Review on πŸ”’ CURT 23020 Trailer Hitch Lock: Reliable 1/2-Inch Pin for 1-1/4-Inch Receiver by Nick Mahoney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a lock. in Receivers

I bought this to move to the Northeast US in March. Not my ideal, but hey, no bugs! This lock perfectly protected my recipient. It wobbled a little at first. On one of his hikes, he became wedged in the safety chain loop on the trailer hitch. The knocking stopped. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the lock has corroded after only a month of first use and it is too long to be reliable when used with a 1.25" hitch. Of course I used it in salt water. Environment, kept it in salt for a week while driving and probably put it away wet. Some good quality penetrating oil (NOT WD-40!) to keep it from rusting from now on. For security reasons, this is safer than a pin, but it won't deter a determined thief. Because it's so long, a thief can easily find enough leverage to pick the lock. This is to keep honest people honest, not to stop rogues from stealing your trailer.
