I seem to use vented phone holders a lot so I was excited to see they sold for under $10 as a pair. I was skeptical about the magnetic mount but so far it works great! I inserted a rectangular metal plate between the phone and the case with no problems (I have an iPhone 6S and Caseology Skyfall case). I didn't have to use glue, it fits snugly between the phone and the case. The back of the case is transparent so you can see the black panel. It would be nice if the plate was silver to match the phone. The phone holds well on the magnet in both horizontal and vertical positions. Haven't gotten too many high speed hits yet, but it feels solid. I didn't notice the negative effect of the magnet on the phone.
