Ez installation, beautiful appearance, excellent light frequency. Poor Control

Got this because it was supposed to work with Alexa. This is done to a limited extent. I can turn the lights on and off via the app and switch to a base color set. Voice activation doesn't work yet. It seems to be having trouble recognizing them as devices. I'm trying different naming formats to see if I can get one that works properly. Kitchen cabinet lighting was my first try. I also couldn't connect it to my Samsung Smart Hub or Alexa Hub. I had to connect it via the Smart Life app after creating an account with them and slacking off with another online account for the device to recognize the hubs. I still had to link the accounts to Alexa to complete setup. To get full functionality I need to use the Smart Life app on my phone. Not the best option if I don't have a phone in the kitchen or someone else wants to control the lights. The only manual option in the lighting system is to turn it on and off. There is no brightness or color adjustment. It was a bit disappointing for the price they are listed for. I was expecting at least manual dimmer control. If I control them via our Echo Show, I can only turn them on or off. The phone app is the only way to control basic color selection through Alexa. I wish they had pointed out the limitations and features of the Alexa integration before purchasing. I would install a different solution or choose a different lighting package.

Pros
  • Rich Color: RGBCW design, RGB color with separate warm white and cool white LEDs for mood and lighting. White does not mix with red, green and blue. It consists of super bright white LEDs with a high rendering index (Ra > 85), a color temperature of 2700K to 6500K and a brightness of 0 to 1000 lumens by voice or app.
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
